Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, but can the English top division leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
A family member advised me to get Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home record, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
